The drive wasn't dead but I still don't trust it.
This is the second time in just the few months I've had it that it has flaked out.
Its a new 300 gig Maxtor SATA drive.
I pulled the data off of it. Now all I have to do is reinstall the OS... after I get a new drive... from Seagate.
