Dr. Griffiths called last night.
She wasn't able to get the equipment for the new procedure, so its going to be regular PRK for me.
The device was called the EpiLift system from Visijet. It was just FDA approved Sept. 20th.
(Although I did go ahead and buy some stock in them. I figure if my doctor was going to try it, so were others. )
My mom asked last night if I was going to wait until they could get the equipment, but I'm already hyped for Thursday, so I don't want to wait any longer.
Other news:
A co-worker of mine's family member works for some association of opthamologists and eye surgeons.
He had her check on the doctor, and evidently it is the same doctor that she goes to, and sends everyone in her family to.
Thats a resounding vote of confidence.
